VRML

I was heavily involved in VRML back before the turn-of-the-century. We attended SIGGRAPH in LA, New Orleans and New York. We manned a booth at the LA SIGGRAPH. That’s how I found out that my last several years work had been stolen by SGI Cosmo, a major player in three-dimensional computer graphics.

But around the year 2000, I decided that three-dimensional computer graphics was just not developed enough to maintain my interest. Almost 20 years ago. I’ve been involved in computer graphics since but not actual three-dimensional worlds.

I had seen Second Life© early in 2000 and thought it was pretty good but I wasn’t really impressed. Especially since all the avatars look like twentysomethings with cool hair and perfect bodies. I wanted somewhere where I could look like me. Well, now I’m impressed!

Several months ago I was introduced to SketchUp, the free Google program for three dimensional graphics and I loved it! For not so obvious reasons, it was one of the first 3D programs where I could work comfortably with the 60° coordinate system advocated by Bucky Fuller. Additionally, the possibility of having several people accessing the same workplace and be able to communicate in a virtual environment is especially appealing. This led me to Second Life.

I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to export the models I had done in SketchUp into Second Life?” On further investigation I found several sites with instructions on how to do just that. The real kicker though is that it may be easier and faster to do directly in Second Life! It’s a balance between complexity in the virtual environment and mobility restricted by bandwidth.

I am using a Dell XLS 18 with the Intel HD 4000 video that appears to be working fine. The detail I’m able to get far surpasses anything I could’ve imagined… No, let me take that back. It is exactly what I imagined! The ability to interact with the environment and other avatars in real time with very high level of realism.

Of course, my first task was to see if I could create an avatar that looks like me. I’ll let you be the judge. The amount of control I have over my appearance is amazing. The facial expression, the gestures and the ability, as the owner, to change the environment.

I find it also quite therapeutic to be able to have my avatar get out on the dance floor and dance like I never could in real life. It provides a level of social interaction I just don’t have any more. I don’t want to go out to eat with people, I don’t want to travel with anyone unless it’s absolutely essential. Too many things can go wrong and there is very little upside. I’m not looking for girlfriend.

So now I need to tie consciousnesscreatesmatter.com with tetraplegiacr.com and Second Life© and see if we can’t get something interesting going.

Life (Redux)

I have recently discovered  a new tool for modeling.

After many years of seeking an easy way to translate between 90° Cartesian coordinates and 60° coordinates of nature, Google has made available SketchUp a free, three-dimensional modeling package that is really quite good. I used 3D studio Max for many years and switched to POV-Ray for reasonable results without having to pay thousands of dollars for licensing.

While SketchUp has a Pro version, I find the free version more than adequate. That being said, I will probably upgrade to Pro take full advantage.

SketchUp 2017 is available for free download. I used it to develop the above models in a relatively short time. The ability to translate an object in a very intuitive fashion makes conversion to 60° coordinates relatively simple. As you can see, I have only begun to scratch the surface and I find that the use of “components”, which then can be used within other components, a wonderful tool.

SketchUp is also available as a viewer. Let me know if there’s any interest in having my models available.

I see some excellent opportunities for educational models. I hope to stay very active in this as I see it as a great opportunity to finally model some of the key concepts that Fuller puts before us.

Starting Model

I just finished watching Robert Reisch’s film, Inequality for All, and I highly recommend it. It’s available on Netflix. It gives a wonderful insight into the issue of inequality, that is, the disparity between what the lowest and highest employees are paid. Interestingly, the only conclusion he comes to is that the system is really messed up and it’s going to take some real innovative thinking to correct, or perhaps, reinvent it. My fear is that the whole thing will collapse before there’s an opportunity to showcase what we’re trying to do. That’s why I’m thinking of trying this in Costa Rica, away from the divisiveness and political climate that’s appearing in the United States.

I’m finding the works of Reed Kinney and Thomas Greco are providing excellent guidelines in community building and economics, with many examples of successes and failures. So, let’s start building a model!

Decentralized Economic Social Organization …DESO Okay, now I see it! So here’s a fictional layout of the basic concepts:

Our landlord, Douglas, is a well-known restauranteur who, due to a drop in global tourism, was forced close his downtown restaurant. He has a beautiful piece of property comprising: several cabinas and multifamily apartments, a swimming pool/bar, a soccer field, several tilapia ponds, a conference area, and several citrus and banana plants. In addition, we have restaurant gear: refrigerators, freezers, tables and chairs, cooking grills, sandwich presses. This property is located near to a major city, and on several bus routes. What Douglas needs is capital.

Our first level comprises my landlord, myself and any other of the 5 or 6 residents of our compound who are interested. We can provide food, entertainment, meeting space, and the physical focus of a node. For we residents, it is the epicenter. We all have immediate contact with one another. Virtually everything we do impacts all of the other members of the family. Therefore, anything we do should benefit all members while disenfranchising none and, everything we do must be completely transparent!

For services we can provide the following:

  • Catering
  • Assisted Living
  • Convention Facilities
  •  Design/Build Services

We would like to get 10 investors at $10,000 each for a $100,000 base.

Proposals might include:

  • Production of All-Terrain Wheelchair
  • 3-D Printing Facility
  • Cabinetry Shop
  • Restaurant/catering facility

We ought to develop a type of pamphlet, if you will, to show clearly what we are trying to accomplish. The advantages and responsibilities must be clearly shown. We must also make clear that the process of “dialogue” is not simply complaining nor is it strictly majority rules. It is more an effort to find and fund projects which are to everyone’s advantage. I can see developing an app for use on cell phones, which could display the activity of the community as a whole.

Locally, Suzanne Smith (large family farm), Dr. Laura (Dentist/Cattle), Douglas’s brother (an Attorney), Betsy (Registered Nurse), Russ and Sherry, Sheila Rogers are all potential nodes. Each has their own extended family and desire to be free of centralized government and usury based monetary systems. I think we could easily build to 150 nodes within our region of Costa Rica. Additionally, if the first experimental projects proved successful, it could very easily spread throughout the country. A key feature of Costa Rica being the lack of expense of the standing Army, the government focuses more on keeping people employed. Much of the maintenance of infrastructure is still done by hand, including roadbuilding, plowing of mountainside fields, etc.

Other big advantages are a large, central downtown farmer’s market, adequate Internet/DSL, excellent medical system available to everyone and, an educational system capable of turning out qualified workers at all levels.

Next, we’ll consider the economic structure and see if we can’t extricate our local economy from the grips of an increasingly oppressive international banking system. Stay tuned!

Peeking out of the shell

Spending a year up here in the frozen North has given me a new perspective (like I really needed another one). Basically I’m confined to a powered wheelchair with limited use of my arms and hands which makes working a computer quite a challenge.

It has given me a lot of time to think, and I’ve been inventorying my assets and trying to determine the direction I need to take moving forward.

I have finally gotten Dragon NaturallySpeaking (speech to text software) installed on a computer that appears to be working. My brain has been impacted for a year and Dragon is the dig-stim, if you catch my drift. Don’t stand too close!

Now, one of the things I would like to accomplish is the establishment of A Center for Synergetic Development; a node on a network, in order for us to proceed further with our exploration into the evolution of our species and our Universe. So far, I’ve found the perfect place and, after a brief respite, I am eager to get started. I’ve been living in Costa Rica for the past two years and have found what appears to be the perfect combination of resources, climate, culture, attitude and community. Hey, it’s not for everybody but it’s perfect for me. And in today’s electronic era, location is becoming less and less important. Having spent a real nasty winter in Buffalo New York, I’m ready for the tropics. Unfortunately, I have to be set up a little better before I can return. I suspect I’ll see a lot more progress once warm weather gets here… If it gets here!

Now, during this little hiatus, I did a good bit of reading and studying and, through a mutual friend, I got interested in the work of Thomas H Greco, a proponent of cashless societies and a real visionary when it comes to the state of money in the world. His latest book The End of Money and the Future of Civilization was nothing less than inspirational and, in light of some of the latest news from around the globe, it appears to be just in time.

Hopefully, I’ll get more proficient with this software  (it took me  16  hours get this post up). I also hope to spend some time getting the site organized a little better. Any feedback would be appreciated. I haven’t quite figured out how to get the slider working properly on the home page, still working on it. Maybe we can shed light on the question, “Who is John Galt?” And where is Galt’s Gulch anyway?

Distraction Eterna

Central Oscillator
I have taken a sidetrack which has turned into a fascinating addition to the material presented here.

The distraction is called Eterna and came about because of my interest in Genetically Modified Organisms. Here in Costa Rica outfits like Monsanto have stirred up a shitstorm of controversy by genetically modifying organisms and then patenting the genetic coding and charging for its use. The most talked about campaign has been surrounding Round-up Ready seeds. This means that the farmer can buy seeds that yield a plant which is resistant to the chemical herbicide Round-up. In terms of dollars the farmer can spray his entire field for a fraction of what it would cost to hand weed. However, not only may it change the basic chemical structure of the fruit, it encourages the use of Round-up which further encourages the use of ever stronger herbicides. The “down-stream” effects of such chemicals needs a lot more study.

That being said, there is also a tremendous amount of good which will come of this. For the moment, let’s remove a profit motive from this equation. No rush to hit an investment deadline, no need to payback investors. Nothing released without thorough testing. What if we could “see” the gene sequence that “turns on” cancer cells and what if we could “turn it off”, no effect on any other part of the sequence. It is becoming increasingly obvious that we are there.

Now, while going down this Rabbit Hole which is Eterna, I am seeing every principle set out in this, my own work, being confirmed by the very actions of nature. Through my intro to molecular biology I am seeing some very clear comparisons. The nucleotides pair in very predictable ways while allowing for tremendous freedom. No irrational numbers, no Pi, all basic Synergetics at it’s best. Stay tuned!

Synergetics Classroom

One of the goals of this site is to promote the learning and teaching of Synergetics. Fuller believed, and demonstrated, that Synergetics, based on the closest packing of spheres, was the geometric system used by nature. In numerous drawings and illustrations he laid out the characteristics and numerology of such a system. It has been largely overlooked.

One of the shortcomings of the book was the lack of models. Remember, this was long before computer graphics and modelling. We have come along way, with new technologies, and means of distributing knowledge and information, we have the ability to rectify this.

Unfortunately, new ideas aren’t always easily incorporated into an entrenched system of beliefs and changes of this scope rarely come from above. It is far easier to enlighten young people than to try to change their mentors. As a start, I would like to develop a Synergetics Classroom. A place with demonstrations of  Synergetic concepts and principles, to discuss the ideas as examples of real, physical concepts we see everyday. Additionally, we would like to provide a “gateway” to approach  this fascinating Synergetic Universe we have here from a familiar direction.

The next challenge will be to enlist teachers to learn these basic concepts, to learn to build these models and to distribute these tools which may help to give us a better understanding of this Universe we all inhabit.

Wavelinearity

This post is a bit of an experiment so please bear with me. What I am trying to show is that there are many different ways to see the same evidence. In the following series of images we have several different ways to visualize a sine wave. Let’s have a look at wavelinearity. Now, this phenomenon is much of the basis of western science and is invoked in various contexts from electronics and sound to metaphysics.

The changing images below all describe the same sine wave structure. Interestingly, in envisioning it as a 2 dimensional wave requires an up/down on/off change of direction as part of the represented cycle and works well with the concept of limits and higher mathematical functions. Not so if we view it as a rotation about a common axis, then it appears more related to angular momentum and is more easily described with relatively few mathematical gyrations.

Water – A True Miracle

I hadn’t intended to start this blog with a discussion of water but I recently saw several references this molecule and it’s connection to life and the Synergetics geometry we are espousing here, so I am taking a little detour from my original plan, if there is such a thing.

The first reference was a documentary film on the fact that science now basically agrees that water is the only requirement for life. It’s the only thing that is essential. Not energy, though water requires energy. Life cannot exist without water. It’s no mere coincidence that water has such an important place when you consider the fact that water alone of all of the molecules which can exist as liquids, is the only one which gets less dense as it freezes. Ice floats. The significance becomes apparent when we realize that once water freezes over it effectively insulates itself and retards further crystallization. In other words it is very difficult for a body of water to freeze solid which would presumably terminate whatever life may exist. Handy if you are trying to keep evolution going for a few million years.

Liquid water exists at a very wide range of temperatures and pressures and life has been found in deep trenches in the oceans with no light, having evolved in an environment previously thought unsupportive of life. Now, it is also no coincidence that the water molecule H2O is, geometrically, a slightly splayed tetrahedral shape which helps explain some of the other unique characteristics of water.

Time

I have been having some overlap in fields while thinking about the nature of time. Time gives us some of the more interesting paradoxes in Western Science; The Twin Paradox, Time Dilation, Instantaneity. Once again I would like you to consider the possibility that we adhere so tightly to our “beliefs” that it blocks us from seeing the obvious.

Let me point out a few of these beliefs:

  • We believe that speed is measured relative to an “at rest” state which doesn’t exist in nature. Everything vibrates.
  • We believe that the Universe is divided into a 3 dimensional coordinate system that nature uses.
  • Einstein has shown, among other things; that the speed of light appears to be a constant,
  • some events in the physical world appear to occur instantaneously over great distances,
  • time appears to be an illusion of mind, relative and different for each individual.

These give some insurmountable problems when trying to deal with the concept of time. Let’s try a different point of view.

Let’s start by realizing that everything vibrates at some subdivision of the speed of light (c) which appears to us to be a constant. This is Eternity. When we can traverse the Universe in an instant we experience Eternity. Let’s see this once again as the aether. This was part of what Einstein was trying to resolve with the idea of “hidden variables”. How does one resolve instantaneous action with the concept of time and the concept of the speed of light being a constant and insurmountable.
Ascension 2000.

In order to truly be able to get a grasp on Kozyrev’s work and related findings, certain new analogies for physical matter are required. Rigorously, Kozyrev’s work forces us to visualize all physical objects of matter in the Universe as if they were sponges that are submerged in water.

In all of these analogies, we should consider the sponges as having remained in water for a long enough period of time that they are completely saturated. Bearing this in mind, there are two things we can do with such sponges underwater: we can decrease the volume of water that they contain or increase it, by very simple mechanical procedures.

1.Decrease: If a submerged, saturated sponge is squeezed, cooled or rotated, then some of the water inside of it will be released into its surroundings, decreasing its mass. Once the sponge is no longer disturbed, the pressure on the millions of tiny pores is relieved, causing it to again absorb water and expand back to its normal resting mass.

2.Increase: We can also pump more water pressure into the sponge in its rest state, such as by heating (vibrating) it, thus causing some of the pores to expand with more water than they can comfortably hold. In this case, once we relieve the added pressure, the sponge will naturally release its excess water and shrink back down to its normal resting mass.

Though it would seem impossible to most people, Kozyrev showed that by shaking, spinning, heating, cooling, vibrating or breaking physical objects, their weight can be increased or decreased by subtle but definite amounts. And this is but one aspect of his amazing work.

Please note, at this point we don’t have to concern ourselves with the validity of the above stated model. We are merely testing it as a hypothesis and it will either work or not.

A=440 vs A=432 Leads to a Challenge

I have just had a friend recommend an article he read on the significance of Standard Tuning of A440 HZ or A432 HZ and the ramifications of this fact. He and I are both musicians but the implication of the article is that this 8 HZ difference represents far more than musical inclinations. From this site you can get to all sorts of discussions and controversies: Rothschild’s, Illuminati, enslavement.

This got me to the field of Cymatics and some spectacular patterns generated by sound vibrations. It also got me to a really interesting conspiracy theory basically claiming that The Pope and Hitler had tried to shift standard tuning from 432 HZ, which, they (the conspirators) claim had always been used for 2000 years because; they had discovered that this shift in frequency was what caused people to be more inclined to fight and disagree, to generate aggression. Kind of like when you are running out of your favorite <fill-in-the-blank> .

A lot of these sites basically took some very interesting and verifiable facts and combined them in some interesting ways to then generate some pretty fantastic conclusions supposedly based on these facts. Then I realized this is really what happens with every conspiracy theory. Start with an idea, preferably outrageous, and take a few facts, kludge them together and BINGO “Theory Proved.”

Now, fact checking is a bitch; someone makes a statement, maybe they reference it, maybe they don’t. Do you believe them? Here’s what I usually do. The first statement I don’t already know something about, I look up (in what I believe are reliable sources) to get some background. Then I continue with the article. If the conspirator makes a statement and I can confirm it easily I continue. After a number of these fact checks prove verifiable I can ease off and continue the article leaving out the fact checking. However, if I am going to put that article up or quote it, I really should check all of the significant statements. As Arthur C. Clark said, “If you allow me to pick and choose which facts I can use, I can prove anything.”

Unfortunately, when I applied this standard reference practice most of the conspiracy stuff just went away. The first 5 facts I looked into were just plain false. Why weren’t the great cathedral  organs tuned to 432? Why were the tuning forks of Haydn (415) and Bach (422) NOT tuned to 432? Why wouldn’t the ear cochlea adjust, over growth, to adapt to its environment? Why wouldn’t any orchestra use the tuning to lure customers back to their superior feeling music? Why aren’t we all crazy? Well, let’s hold on that one, the jury’s still out. More significantly, where is the hard evidence? Give me something. Take 2 rooms full of 6 yr olds and expose one to a 440 tone and the other to a 432? Try it for a while then switch tones. This ain’t rocket science but I think it falls squarely in the scientific method. Expose someone to 432 HZ while doing an MRI and then to 440 HZ. We can see all sorts of things. Where’s the evidence?

It’s a pain in the ass but, ya gotta do it. “But what does this have to do with Synergetics?”, you might ask? Just this:

I contend Synergetics gives us a way to simplify the entire fact checking process by not having to keep proving the same shit over and over again, which is exactly what we are doing. Take some facts, put them together based on preconceived notions and jump to a totally irrelevant conclusion. It may be hardwired in, which is why I try to stick to a pretty strict interpretation of the Scientific Method.

Here’s how it works:

I want to take this entire idea that there is a true significance to the difference between A440 HZ and A432 HZ and see if we can’t make sense of it. But, rather than start with the conclusion (the Pope and the Hitler had discovered something about that frequency ) and seeking facts to support what this discovery must be, let’s see if we can’t come up with a much simpler and clearer explanation for facts we are being shown. I suspect this may take a while but, I think, if we can make it work, it will be self confirming. Furthermore, we hope to demonstrate that these same facts may be recombined to explain any number of phenomena. Sacred Geometry, Holistic Medicine, Psychology, Market fluctuations, Chemistry, Physics, Languages are the ones I have looked at so far and all seem to work nicely within the network provided us by Synergetics. Not giving us predictions, but allowing us to understand what variables are truly important to the area we are exploring and giving more reliable predictability, while allowing for true freedom. In addition, it gives us several additional variables we didn’t even know we had!

The real beauty is that it is a very small set of facts. We shall refer to these as “generalized principles”, which must work everywhere and everywhen to be even considered facts and, once gotten, become the basis of any other area of the Universe we would like to explore. This is how a hologram works, this is how we apply the concept of holons and it all works together.

Sorry, no pictures yet but I am working on the models.

Stay tuned! I want to examine the work of Nassim Haramein and Frank Chester at the Rhode Island School of Design, both of whom have some very good ideas but abuse the application of their “so-called” discoveries.
